KleiraShield
Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 28, 2026
This policy describes how KleiraShield (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use our companion website, related services, and apps. We are not in the business of selling personal data or building profiles to monetize. We use data to run the product and improve it.
1. What we collect
- Account and service data. When you sign up or sign in, we process identifiers needed to operate authentication (for example, email and credentials managed by our auth provider). To provide VPN pairing and device management, we process device identifiers and configuration payloads you submit through the product.
- Product analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) and similar tools to understand aggregate usage: pages or screens viewed, flows, errors, and in-product events we explicitly log (for example, button clicks and feature usage). We do not use these tools to “tag” or track named individuals for advertising, and we do not combine analytics with more data than needed to understand how the product is used.
- Microsoft Clarity. We may use Microsoft Clarity to capture session replays, heatmaps, and interaction data on our web surfaces so we can see how people actually use the site and fix friction. Clarity may collect technical and usage data as described in Microsoft’s documentation.
- Technical data. Like most services, we receive IP address, device and browser type, timestamps, and similar data from your connection and our infrastructure and vendors.
2. How we use information
We use the above to provide and secure the service, authenticate users, deliver features (including linking devices and VPN-related flows), troubleshoot, improve performance and UX, prioritize updates, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information as a line of business.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our analytics partners may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies. You can control many cookies through your browser; blocking some may break parts of the site or app experience.
4. Sharing
We share information with service providers and subprocessors that help us run the product (for example, hosting, authentication, analytics, and session replay). They may only use data as we instruct, subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with notice where required).
5. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. Analytics and replay data are retained according to each vendor’s settings and our configuration.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing, or to object or opt out where applicable. To exercise rights, contact us using the details below. For vendor-specific tools (Google, Microsoft), their sites describe additional controls and opt-outs where available.
8. Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. International transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our vendors operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your own.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
11. Contact
